Before Printing:
- Make sure you've got a buckle to attach! You can repurpose one from your existing strap, it likely uses a spring bar. Use a spring bar tool to easily remove it.
(the Pebble Steel's strap width is 22mm) - Print two strap keepers!
Advice:
- Print on a textured build plate.
- Print without supports.
- Print with 100% infill.
- The straps should be printed at the smallest layer height you can; the included 3mf uses variable layer height to achieve this. The lug attachments are printed at 0.2mm layer height.
- When installing the spring bar and strap screws, you'll notice the fit is quite tight. Use a pair of pliers and liberal patience. It will fit, assuming your printer & filament is reasonably calibrated.
I printed this in Flexifill TPU 98A “Traffic Black”, and the result is both flexible and strong. I imagine that softer filaments might be susceptible to tearing or stretch too much.
You cannot “flip” the strap; the holes for the buckle pin are actually slanted to help it lay flat when fastened. Flipping the strap has the opposite effect.
The included 3mf specifies the top fill pattern on the strap to be “Archimedian Spiral”, which is totally optional and entirely invisible as this side of the strap should face your arm. Looks neat though!

The author remixed this model.
Differences of the remix compared to the original
Essentially remade from the ground-up; the original model was used as a size reference.
Changes:
- Significantly thinner, so can be printed with less flexible filaments
- Revised geometry around the watch's lugs to avoid interference
- Slightly sculpted shape helps cut down on the “sharp” feeling
- Strap keepers have been rounded and resized for better comfort
- Optimised buckle hole geometry to allow the buckle's pin to lay flatter when fastened
