This is similar to the Google Nest Wifi Holder I made for my brother previously, but this time for his Google Mini (Canada) instead.  I modelled the wire management into the back using retaining tabs, which I feel is nice and compact; although the gap between the tab and the main body is smaller than the wire diameter so it takes a little bit of force to push the cable under.  The good part is that the cable cannot pop out.  If I ever print another one I would probably enlarge the gap slightly so it's a bit easier, but this one is fully functional regardless.

I only have a Prusa Mini, so this print barely fits when rotated 45 degrees.  Relevant print settings are:

  • Generic white PLA (softer material would probably be better, but I only have PLA)
  • 0.25 mm layer height overall
  • 2 perimeters
  • 3 top/bottom layers (mostly a matter of cosmetics)
  • 10% grid infill
  • Enforced support only at a relevant region, “Snug" style on Prusa Slicer (I really don't like to use support in general, but at least this is easy to remove and also only on the back side so the blemishes are not visible even without sanding)
  • Print time: 3h 52m for reference with no input shaping

After I made the print I packed his Google Mini into it and tested out the cable management.  It did take a little force to push the wire under the retaining tabs, but not excessively so (it can help to also flex the tabs a bit first, just careful not to break them if using brittle material like PLA).
