🌀 Predator Shuriken (AVP-Inspired) – Functional Prop Replica

A fully 3D-printable fan-made Predator shuriken, loosely inspired by the Alien vs. Predator movie series. Designed for both display and articulated movement, this prop includes detailed styling, optional rotating or fixed blades, and comes with a stand.

🧩 Model Variants & Required Parts

The model includes two blade styles:

🔧 Articulated blades – rotatable, assembled with screws, magnets, bearings, connectors and printed washers  
🗿 Fixed blades – simplified, glued version for static display  

🛠 All blade versions must be glued together, regardless of whether they are articulated or fixed.

🔧 Articulated Blades – Split (for smaller printers)

Each complete blade requires:
- Shuriken_Blade_Base_A.stl
- Shuriken_Blade_Top_A.stl

- 2× Shuriken_Blade_Connector_Large.stl

Each full blade includes:

- Mirrored version (in slicer)

- 2× Stand_Clamp_Rubber_Pad.stl – clamp cushioning
- 1× Stand_Top_Rubber_Pad_Left.stl
- 1× Stand_Top_Rubber_Pad_Right.stl

🔗 Stand Connectors
- 2× Stand_Arm_Connector_A.stl (for joining Stand_Arm_A and Stand_Arm_B)
- 1× Stand_Arm_Connector_B.stl
- 3× Stand_Top_Connector.stl (for top support)

🪨 Metal Weight (Optional)
A 70×70×10 mm metal plate can be inserted into the cavity in Stand_Base.stl for stability and balance.

🔩 Required Hardware

For articulated blades:
- 6× M3×18 mm socket head screws
- 6× M3 self-locking nuts
- 24× Bearings (15×10×4 mm) – 4 per blade
- 24× Magnets (7×7×7 mm) – 4 per blade
- 12× Shuriken_Blade_Washer.stl (printed)

For all versions (core magnets):
- 10× Magnets (6×6×6 mm)
- 8× Magnets (10×5×2 mm)

🧲 All magnets must be glued into their designated positions using CA glue or epoxy.

🖨 Recommended Print Settings
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Perimeters: 4
- Infill: 25–30 %
- Supports: only for selected stand parts
- Materials: PLA or PETG for structural parts, TPU for rubber components

🛠 Assembly
- Articulated blades rotate on bearings using printed washers and blade connectors
- Blade parts are mirrored and glued together
- Core is held together with magnets (works for both versions)
- Fixed blades also require glue to be assembled
- Modular stand connects with printed joints

🎨 Finishing (Optional)
Painting adds realism and a battle-worn look:
- Dry-brush with metallic silver over black primer
- Apply black wash for shadows
- Copper or bronze accents for movie-like effect

👽 Inspiration  
Loosely inspired by the Predator shuriken from Alien vs. Predator (2004) and AVP: Requiem (2007). This is a fan-made design, not an exact replica.
