The Skoda badge (new font) is quite easy to print.

PRINTER: Prusa Mini+, FW 6.1, input-shaper disabled 100% infill, 0.1mm layer, 0.4mm nozzle
PLA: black
Grams: 3
Duration: 40 minutes (Prusa Mini+, no input-shaper
Extras: ironing for the top-most surface

HOW to remove the old badge?

Well, that's not easy. FIRST I carefully placed tape below the current characters. (see pictures) This allowed me to put the new characters in exactly the same place.

Steps & equipment:

  • Tesla Model 3 (highland) late 2023 or later
(not tested on the 2025 Model Y Juniper or on older Model 3's)
  • a heat gun - carefully heat the area, not to long and not at one point.
  • strong fishing wire to ‘saw’ the old badge off the car
  • fingernails to remove most of the residue
  • Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) to remove the last bits.
  • thin nanotape or other double-sided tape (photo) - cut to the exact size of each character and stick it to the back. (check to make sure you stick it to the back!)
  • stick it on the trunk!

Not tested with PETG as the first PLA print turned out to be strong enough. In the color black you could probably print it in 0.15mm and turn on the input-shaper to print faster. (untested)

Please share if you printed it! :-)

BTW, since my previous Tesla 3D model I finally cleaned the car :-)
