Notes:
I have a soft case that I use to carry my QMX, so that I can take my radio out in the field, or on travel and have everything I need to get on air. ( Also in my kit: battery bank, 9v switching cables, coax, EFHW antenna, paddles, patch cable and ear buds. ) I printed this simple case to help protect the knobs and screen, and create a slightly angled support to make the screen easier to look at when sitting on the table.
For strength purposes it needs to be printed on its side such that the long dimension prints in the z plane. (See picture of the case being printed.) This should not need supports if you print like is shown in the pictures. 10-20% infill is more than adequate. I printed with a 0.6m nozzle with good results using eSun PLA+.
I will likely tweak the design a little bit to make it less bulky, but as is it is already getting good use.
