This is a system of mounts that allow you to mount stuff to other stuff. Like mounting a poop bag holder to the wall.

What Is The UniMount System:

This is a group of models that can be used to create anything mounted to other things.

The ideas was to have a system of default base/"receiver" model that can be remixed or updated to use any mechanism to be attached to any surface or 'thing'. As long as the “receiver” model's dimensions are not changed regarding the attachment slot, any “attachment” model should fit.

The attachment models can in turn be updated or remixed to work with various items, however the strength of this system is to integrate the attachment model with another model to make a seamless group of things/models that can just slide into the receiver model.

I have included a “blank” model file to be used as a way to improve and add the attachment piece to any other model to make it compatible with the UniMount System!

Include are three base types of mounting mechanisms. But, could be remixed to allow for different types of mounting mechanics or ideas.

The three (3) types I created are:
  • "Command" Strip - These models use “medium” size command strips (Amazon Affiliate Link) to adhere the base/"receiver" to a wall or other surface. The corresponding “attachment” module has a small cut out to have the tail of the command strip tuck into to make it look nicer.

  • #8 Wood Screw - This uses basic American #8 wood screws to attach both the base/"receiver" and the attachment models to whatever surface(s).

  • Zip/Cable Ties - These models use a slot to have either zip ties or cable ties pass through them and around whatever surface to attach the base/"receiver" model.

Printing Settings:
  • .2 mm Layer Height
  • .4 Nozzle
  • 25% Infill (A little more rigid/tough)
  • PLA

If you print them in the orientation that I set for the .STL files you should not need supports.
