I created this rotating sign for my office door and now I'm sharing it with the rest of the world! The best part is you don't need a huge printer, special filaments, or support material, but you will need some components:
Assembly is quite straightforward: print 1 top cover with loops and 4 normal top covers to attach to the top pin, and 6 “pie” pieces to connect to the center hub. The pin fit is a little loose to allow for more tolerance between the pieces, so you will need to glue them together. Ensure you put the magnets in with the poles facing the correct direction. The intention is to get each pie piece to “hold” in place when the magnets overlap, but they shouldn't be touching. The ball bearing goes into the center hub while the top pin snaps into the hole in the middle. The bearing might need to be glued to the hub, but make sure not to get any into the bearing itself.
I ended up painting the letters, but if you have a multi-filament system, you can print them out in a contrasting color with minimal waste. Obviously, everyone will have a different office setup, so you'll want different pieces, which is why I included a blank piece to add paint or stickers. You may also remix this design to your heart's delight!
Fully assembled, the sign has a diameter of 315mm
Walls/perimeters: 3
Infill: ≥ 20%
Should not need rafts, supports, or a brim
