Background:

I have a multi-panel exercise pen made from heavy wire that looks like this:

I wanted a way to secure this pen to a wall, while being quick and easy to remove the pen for cleaning or storage.

This model attaches to a wall using two screws, and has a rotating handle that secures  the panels to a wall. To release the pen, just flip up the handle, and remove the panel!

Recommended print settings:

  • Material:  PLA / PETG
  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm or less
  • Infill % : 50+
  • Supports: Yes
  • Print Orientation: Default as modeled
  • Brim: Optional

Lower infill settings can be used, if a modifier is used for higher infill near the holes and the handle (this is included in the gcode & 3MF files):

Post print processing:

  1. Place the part in a vise, and grasp the rotating piece with a wrench.

     2. Gently but firmly use the wrench to break the handle free so it can spin.

Work the handle back and forth a few times until it freely moves.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Install to the wall using screws.
  2. Open the handle, and place one of the panel wires into it.
  3. Close the handle.
  4. Removal is the reverse of install.
