Command Strip Hanger for Canvas Prints or IKEA RIBBA Frame

The IKEA RIBBA frames included wall mounting hardware is about 1 inch deep set into the back of the frame, making traditional hanging with a screw difficult.

To make it easier to mount IKEA RIBBA frames, and by extension, canvas prints, I designed a wall-mount which uses two large Command strips. The top of the mount is a slightly curved spiked knurling which effectively grabs onto the canvas frame or RIBBA frame and prevents the art from sliding around on the mount. The slight curvature also allows for slightly imperfect mounting to the wall. If the mount is not adhered perfectly vertical, the frame being mounted can still be adjusted to be level.
