Tired of squeaky belts? This little adjuster gives you easy leverage to adjust the angle of the tensioner pulley, while tightening down the screws, to align it to the drive pulley. This will allow the belt to track in the middle of the drive pulley and keep it from squeaking against the shoulder flange.
I was inspired by Henlor's tensioner upgrade design. I thought it was a great idea so I printed it and installed it. Unfortunately with the wedge height as designed, it only ensured that my belt consistently tracked against the top flange of the drive pulley. There is just too much variability from machine to machine for a fixed height wedge to work for everyone.
At first I thought I would just print several wedges at different heights and swap them out until I found the one that was the right height for my setup, but that would have been too time consuming.
A design principles I often fall back on is, “If you can't make it perfect, make it adjustable. ”
Not taking credit for that quote. I'm sure I heard someone else say it, but I don't remember who…
So here is my attempt at (partially) solving the belt tracking issue.
I have only tested it on my K1Max, but I think it would probably work in the K1 and K1C as well.
Use your best judgment when choosing material, walls, infill, etc. I went with ASA.
