The model provides a drop-in replacement for the standard CR6 SE spool holder, with options for 3 or 4 608 bearings ensuring a smoother rolling of the filament spool. The original goal was to reduce the oscillations caused by the original mount when working on parts that are heavy on retraction.
Three different models are available at the moment:
To build the model it necessary to select a model for the holder and 3 or 4 pins.
All models are meant to fit the original CR6 SE mount, with the spool holder installed on the back of the mount (see picture). It is possible to place in the front without turning completely the holder.
The model is suggested to be sliced keeping the model horizontal, with the bearing on the top.
Supports are required from the plate, particularly to ensure the baionette part is printed correctly, otherwise won't fit.
To reduce the amount of supports is also possible to make a negative shift in Z, when placing the model in slicer, flattening the bottom side of the main part of the model. Supports will still be required on the baionette part.
The author hasn't provided the model origin yet.
