With my kitchen faucet, it's impossible to turn the water off after washing your hands without dripping water onto the counter top. To fix this mildly annoying problem, I created this drip catcher to redirect that water into the sink. I also took the opportunity to incorporate a sponge plate, which also redirects drips into the sink.

I printed mine using HIPS in white from Gizmo Dorks, though I think any filament would work just fine. I chose this material because I wanted to be able to vapor smooth it to make it easier to clean, although I didn't end up doing that this time. If it does get nasty, I'll print it again and actually smooth it.

This model is to be printed in the provided configuration without supports. The print took up most of my 256 mm x 256 mm bed, so be aware if you have a smaller printer. I used the following settings:

  • 3 wall loops
  • 7% infill
  • Gyroid infill pattern
  • No brim

On my Bambu Lab P1S, it took just under 4 hours and used just under 100 g of filament.

Provided is a STEP file, and the public Onshape model is linked here should you wish to make any modifications. The CAD for V1 is a bit of a mess, but I plan to clean it up and make other configurations. Please, let me know how it comes out for you, and happy printing!
