on most wired bike brakes, there is one adjustment screw on the handle. In my exerience these can bend or collapse and then the threads do not engage anymore. your “reach of adjustment” is then limited.
While I generally see the purpose of this slotted design, I see above situation as a bigger drawback than the following solution.
this part is inserted in the screw and fills out the slot.
the provided part is for an adjuster with a 6mm inner diameter. It is 12mm long.
the brake wire is usually 1.5 mm thick.
Scale/Cut/Remove in the slicer if your dimensions vary.
