I really wanted to print my own Magpul forend for my Mossberg 500. Unfortunately, my tube was the shorter 6 ¾" length which meant I needed to purchase an adapter or a whole new longer tube. I decided to remix the Magpush by Cursd using the internals of the original wood forend that came with the Mossberg (GOFCartographer produced this quite faithfully). Hence, this hybrid was born.
Material: ASA (ABS, PLA, and PETG will also work, but ASA is less prone to warping in the heat and can withstand UV damage)
Brand/color: Polymaker/olive brown (VERY close to FDE)
Strength: I printed this as a solid piece, but you can probably get away with at least 3 walls and 25% infill.
Orientation: already set
Supports: yes
Printed on a Voron 2.4 300mm
The author remixed this model.
This remix combines the outer look and functionality of the Magpush forend with the internals of GOFCartographer's forend (no anti-rotation ring needed). I slightly decreased the diameter of the slide assembly hole and increased the wall thickness near the arm hinges, so the assembly fits more snugly. I added some ribs to reduce rotation of the forend (not a marked difference) and some cavities near the Mlok holes to allow room for the Mlok nuts.
