My fully working and tough miniature vise is still highly popular. That has motivated me to further improve the table clamp for the vice even more. It is now 100% printable, no metal parts are required any more.

Printing instructions

It is important to print all parts in the uploaded orientation. Especially the clamp with it's inner thread is specifically designed to be printed laying on it's side. There is a little cutout in the thread hole on one side, which prevents the thread from sinking into the core hole due to the overhangs. If you print it in the given orientation, the thread should work fine, right out of the printer.

For the clamp itself I propose to print it with 100% infill, as it needs to be tough. For the screw 100% is great as well, but to print it with 25% infill and 4 perimeters has given me very good results also.

The table protector cap is not critical, as the squeezed portion is very thin anyway. It can be printed with 15% infill. I would still recommend 3 perimeters.

Your table width did not fit to the old clamp?

This new design is compatible to a much wider range of table plate width. If your plate is relatively thin, just use the longer screw. If it is relatively thick, you may want to skip the table plate protector, as the printed screw is of course more furniture friendly than the M6 metal screw in the old design. Or you can use the extra-long clamp that I added as an update on 08.04.23.

If you like this design please give me a thumbs-up and post a picture. That never fails to make my day!

Happy printing!
