In my designs I use a lot of angled radial surfaces to step from one diameter to another in order to stay away from having 90 degree overhangs that will require supports when printing. I defaulted to 45degs as I knew my printer could handle that but I wanted to test how far I could push my printer before the print quality became unacceptable. Based on my test I now know I can push these overhangs closer to 60 degrees before I lose significant print quality.
Don't use any special setting to print this test. Use your standard print profile. Ensure you print without supports. Things to look for on the layers:
When doing multiple tests at various slicer settings, you can hide a portion of the print under the print surface in order to start the test at your desired overhang angle. This will limit wasted filament when doing subsequent testing on overhang angles you know your printer can handle.
