The original model is a fantastic idea, yet I it lacked the PCB holder. Instead of adding a tilted stand to your grinder, just replace the original base. As a benefit, the button is moved to the front left, which at least for me is preferable position.

Original author was kind enough to share the step file with me, so here I am, sharing my improvements with the world.

Mounting instructions are same as original, i.e: the same screws, just a new binder.

Print in your favourite material, I am able to print without brim but your mileage may vary.

I got best results with PETG, 0.15mm height, 1.02 overextrusion for extra rigidity, 0.04mm thick fuzzy edge on the outside painted with smart fill for a nice ‘frosted’ finish (TBH, this is my default for all prints - nicely hides layers)

I present you with three inclinations:

  • 10 degrees is my photo. Better stability, better feeding of coffee from stock hopper
  • 12 degrees - midway throug
  • 14 degrees - original model. Possibly lower retention, but worse cofee feeding from stock hopper.

I have created a compatible tray - print tray in 0.2 layer height for best results, and attach 3mm silicone cabinet bumpers or similar to bottom of your grinder.

Onshape project here.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

  • Added PCB holder
  • Adjusted outside fillets to match grinder
  • Improved dimensions to match original base
  • Improved screw hole sizes for easier access with fat screwdriver
  • made front of the base vertical for easier attachment of trays
  • Added slot for click connection of trays from the bottom
  • Removed the need for bridges/supports in the back of the model
  • Lowered the lenght of perimeters for faster print time
  • added lower lip for the switch hole
  • Added big inside fillet to the base to (hopefully) lower the “Benchy Hull Line effect
