[Updated Jul 31 2025]
- Added bin sizes 1x2 through 4x4 to the 1x1
- Corrected bin shape to be stackable with factory
- tweaks to the large bin spacing - model is correct, but some printers may struggle with the small studs
- Looking into a version that requires less support
Summary
A set of bins for the thin (T) Buzbe Colony box.
- The top shape matches the Buzbe factory bins and seals very well against the formed lid.
- The base pegs have a friction fit with the bottom of the tra, just like the factory bins.
- The factory bins stack nicely with these 3D printed bins.
In the picture, gray is factory and green is my print.
Printing
I am able to switch filaments while printing, and so recommend using PETG with 0 distance to the support interface and PLA for support interface. Otherwise you'll need your PETG supports dialed in well. PLA would print fine for this, and likely handle the underside better, so it might be worth a try. The bins take a beating in my kayak, so I wanted the PETG toughness
- PETG
- 0.2mm layer height
- Supports
- Peg side down
- 15% infill
- 2 walls
Future Todo:
- Other heights for the standard and tall bins
- scoops, labels, dividers ala gridfinity
Would love to see your makes and get feedback on the fit
