Once in a while a mouse falls into the drinking water for the chickens and is unable to climb out because of the steep and slick walls, especially when the water is low. So, the prevent them from drowning, I created a small ladder that fits over the edge so that they can climb up again :-)
The model in the photos was printed with Prusament Clear PETG, because even though PLA does not immediately break down in the outdoors, the UV light will make it brittle and PETG can handle that.
It was printed on a MK4S and organic supports where added just for the short, upper section of the ladder and it snapped of quite easily.
The ladder was designed to fit over the round edge of an Egglo drinking tub but the FreeCAD file is included if you want to do more than just scaling.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
