Twin DAR filter adaptor for 40mm NATO/STANAG thread. Used for example in PANORAMASQUE. https://www.honeywellsafety.com/Products/Respiratory_Protection/PANORAMASQUE.aspx?site=/europe

To be used with two standard DAR filters.

For single DAR filter vesion look here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4285159

This design solves common problem with many others design of twin filter adaptors - random position of filters when adaptor is screwed-in. At beginning of the thread there is a place/slot to press-in standard soft O-Ring of size 30x3mm (30mm is internal diameter of O-Ring). Elasticity of the O-Ring gives a neccesary space to turn adaptor into proper position. See pictures attached. Adaptor slot cross-section is little more than half of circle - so O-Ring is locked in place nicelly.

The filter cones are design according to ISO 5356-1:2015 standard, with FDM 3D printing technology in mind.

This version need no support.

There are many misunderstandings regarding the NATO/STANAG thread vs standard RD40mm. Good explantions you can find here: https://gasmaskandrespirator.fandom.com/wiki/Thread:11144 and here https://youtu.be/lXPNuyp4ek4

Print parameters:

  • Material - PET-G
  • Nozzle max 0.4mm
  • Layer max 0.2mm
  • Perimeters - 5
  • Top/bottom layers - 5
  • Infill density - 40%
  • Infill pattern - Concentric or Grid
  • Seam position - Random
  • Solid Infill Threshold Area - 70mm2

For best result with O-Ring slot it's recommended to use thinner layer for first 2mm. The 0.1mm is perfect. For detail ask in comments.
