A rather simple coffee needle distributor (WDT) using regular sewing needles, and with two different stands.
It supports up to 7 needles.
I wanted something with sturdier needles compared to the regular ones that use acupuncture needles.
So I got a pack of generic needles from Amazon (ASIN: B08QRL4YVP).
Those needles are 1.25mm in diameter, and the eye is roughly 15mm long.
They just get pushed into the needleholder (distributor_handle_needleholder.obj) and then screwed into the handle.
The needles should be pushed in flush with the surface of the needleholder.
There are two stands for it:
-Tablestand (distributor_tablestand.obj)
-Magnetic stand (distributor_magnetic_stand.obj)
The magnetic stand has holes in the back for two 10x2mm magnets that can be glued in.
I would then recommend putting some weak doublesided tape or something grippy™ on the back to keep it from sliding on the surfance.
You can also add some rice into the stand so that the needles get wiped off every time you insert the tool.
Print:
1x distributor_handle
1x distributor_handle_needleholder
+ whatever stand you want to use
Most FDM printers seem to have issues with printing such tiny holes that are needed for the “distributor_handle_needleholder”, so I would recommend experimenting with your settings so that the needles will go through it properly.
It's easy for the holes to become too tight so it's difficult to push the needles through.
It will vary a lot depending on material, settings and buildplate.
I had best success printing PETG when switching to a textured PEI buildplate and adjusting the "elephant foot compensation" to 0.4 in PrusaSlicer (added my .3mf file for anyone who wants to check the settings).
