I saw the original model for the Lumon Keycard and really wanted to make a holder for my actual work badge. So, I made a bunch of modifications to allow an RFID badge to be able to slide in, as well as be locked into place by a lanyard clip.

Bonus points for printing in a semi-transparent filament so that the white RFID keycard makes the detail pop like the actual Lumon MDR keycards on the show.

I printed mine at 0.2 Quality from PrusaSlicer with a brim and a couple organic supports. Because of the pocket and how thin the entire model is I thought I'd print it on its side to eliminate most of the bridging, try to increase bed contact area, but also the layer lines going along the length of the badge might make it stronger. I didn't have any issues printing and I printed a few of these.

The model viewer on printables makes it look like there's a card sticking out of it, and a pin going through the lanyard hole, but those are negative volumes from PrusaSlicer. The gcode is what I used to print it.

Now when you badge into work all you have to do is imitate the elevator ding.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I mirrored the original because after watching the show I noticed that the lumon logo was on the left side when looking at the key card. I punched a hole through the mock lanyard hole and increased the size of the lanyard hole so that it would fit a variety of real-world lanyards. I increased the size of the entire model so that it would accommodate an RFID badge (standard size, the same as a credit card) and then created a pocket inside that would hold the card with the right tolerances. I also created a square cutout in the back of the card that matches the size of the Lumon logo, but is cut through so that you can use your thumb to slide out the enclosed card if need be.
