Description

I wanted a card holder that worked more like the way I wanted.

The ones I either got were either tied to a neck-band, had holes at unsuitable places, could only store one access card at a time or were too bulky.

So I added (another) card holder to the internet.

Features

  • Keyring-holes at the top.
  • Slot for neck-band if desired.
  • Prints with minimal supports.

Print

  • PETG or PLA
  • Time with 0.2mm and 0.4mm nozzle (MK4S): 81min.
  • Infill: 15% - does not matter, since infill is only used for some layers at the very bottom.
  • Prints standing upright.
  • Uses ~ 35gr filament.
  • Remember to mark some areas to block supports. Only the card holders on the top deck on the side and the band slot at the bottom require supports (v2.01) - see Slicer image. The rest should print fine without it.
  • Consider rotating the model to reduce swinging during prints.

The version number and ID is for my internal use. Feel free to remove it if it annoys you.

Changes

Version 2.01
  • Since v1.22 broke at the handle, the baseplate (and the handle) got thickened with a millimeter.
  • The holes in the handle were moved a millimeter lower to increase the strength on the stressed part.
Version 1.22
  • Removed the stopper on the lower layer and added two struts inside. This will increase the resistance of the lower card when sliding in and out and keep it in place. The previous stopper was stopping too well and made removing the card hard.
Version 1.13
  • Original version
