I do some hiking and have a few MOLLE style pouches, some on my rucksack and also like to carry some on the hip belt of the ruck sack.

Those pouches are nice and rugged but are not that easy to keep on the hip belt as they easily fall off when you open the belt. I have stitched a piece of webbing on the hip belt but it wasn't too good.

I noticed a belt adapter for MOLLE pouches at Varusteleka https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/sarma-tst-vfs-molle-pals-belt-adapter/56251 and my design is inspired by that but I wanted to have a bit more flexibility and designed my own version.

I made four different versions, for 1,2,3 and 2.5 straps. The 2.5 is useful for a small Dutch pouch (for sunglasses or something) that has the straps at non-standard distances… For  regular webbing you can have it attached 2 or 3 wide but for a piece of plastic it doesn't work that well. I guess there might be others like that as well.

This is designed for a 40mm belt but if there is need I can easily also make 50mm or 60mm ones (or in inches if that is your thing), please let me know in the comments.

I printed this in PETG and at 3mm thick and it feels sturdy and flexible enough but I haven't yet tried how it behaves at cold temperatures (like -20C or so). PLA might be too rigid but TPU came out just perfect, at least for light pouches.

Please note that this hasn't been designed to meet any military standards so please don't use it if your life depends on it staying intact and not showing up on IR cameras etc.  :)
