I have been fascinated by stealth, tumblehome ship designs, of which the Zumwalt-class destroyer is one. I couldn't find a model of one that seemed to be suitable for FDM printing, so I figured I would give it a shot myself.
The model provides a sufficient level of detail to be realistic and interesting as a desktop model, but not so saturated as to make the print cluttered. The Zumwalt-class of ships seems to have various and changing configurations, so I attempted to take features from each to make a convincing model.
The model comes in at just over 160mm in length and can be scaled up without issue. It was designed to be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle and required no supports. I wouldn't scale down, as some of the details and walls will become too small. Although I do think you could scale it down to be printed with an SLA resin printer provided the resolution fit the scaling.
I printed the model on my Prusa MINI in MH Build PLA Silver and it turned out great. Enjoy!
