I decided to design this balisong a while back ago because I wanted to make a capable trainer that is accessible to anybody with a 3d printer. This balisong uses a pinsless design with a pretty large handle gap. It weighs about 145 grams with metal pivots and flips almost as well as a real trainer.
I've found the best results printing this with 2-3 walls and 85% to 95% infill. If you are using the printed washers, I would recommend sanding it down a little bit before using it, if you can't sand it, scaling it down on the y axis should work almost as well. I would not recommend using PLA because it isn't tough. I have found good results printing this balisong with inland tough PLA but PETG and ABS should work great too.
For the best results you can use the hardware for the Nabalis Marbles hardware kit but it is not necessary. If you're using the printable hardware I recommend putting a bit of glue because they can loosen over time.
