Beer Bottle Cap Button

V2 is slightly re-designed files with 2mm of snap thickness in the middle with center button in 4mm thickness. This will reduce the thickness of the button itself on the clothes.

Background

I collect lots of beer bottle caps and wanted to use them for my clothing accessories and decorations. With this 15 min print parts, you can put bottle caps anywhere you like from caps, jackets, t-shirts and many more. Bottle cap part is detachable from the center piece, you can swap with other bottle caps if you feel like it, and more importantly you can wash your clothing without worrying about washing beer bottles together and cause troubles!

Photos

The cover photo shows how beer bottle caps can be attached to your clothing. The second photo is without a bottle cap, but with snap part screwed to the center piece. You want to do this first then snap your favorite beer bottle cap. The third picture is just with center piece sewed to my cap and you can attach the cap just by screwing to this center piece.

Files - v2

• Beer Bottle Cap Button Snap v2.stl: 4mm thickness beer bottle cap snap part with middle part in 2mm thickness. If the cap is loose, tighten the cap a little by pushing the edge.
• Beer Bottle Cap Button Center v2.stl: 4mm thickness button part with four holes. Sew it to your clothes then screw snap part.

Files - v1

• Beer Bottle Cap Button Snap v1.stl: 4mm thickness beer bottle cap snap part. If the cap is loose, tighten the cap a little by pushing the edge.
• Beer Bottle Cap Button Center v1.stl: 6mm thickness button part with four holes. Sew it to your clothes then screw snap part.

Print

You can use whichever the filament you like. I used PLA in following settings.

• Layer: 0.20mm
• Infill: Rectilinier 15% 

Assembly

1. Sew a center button piece to your cloth.
2. Screw snap piece to the center piece.
3. Snap your beer bottle cap in the right angle.
