MP7 mag insert for standart AR magazine pouches

This magazine pouch insert is used to convert soft M4 or AR magazine pouches into double MP7 magazine pouches. The design allows the magazines to be drawn quickly and, above all, stowed away again quickly and easily.

The insert is designed for HK GBB MP7 magazines, so I don't know if other models or other MP magazines will work as well with it.

To fit into the M4 pouch, it should be able to stretch to a thickness of 7 cm.

To achieve optimum stability in terms of spring force, the model should be printed with the profile facing downwards. Although this requires complicated and possibly difficult to remove support structures, it prevents the springy area from breaking.

There are roughly 3 model types to choose from:

"Two-piece" allows the two inserts to be printed and inserted individually. This makes insertion easier, but the inserts then have less grip and slip more easily. If you use magazine pouches with Velcro on the inside, you can stick the inserts in with Velcro tape. In my opinion, this offers the best option and maximum flexibility.

“One-piece” without a slot is mechanically the most robust.
However, this also distributes the spring force of the construction to both sides of the insert. If you use two magazines of slightly different sizes, the larger one will be tighter and the smaller one looser. This application is therefore only advisable if the magazines are definitely the same size.

“One-piece with slot”, offers the stability and slip resistance of the one-piece and flexibility in suspension of the two-piece insert.However, it is the most complex in terms of support and pressure.
The 1 mm slot ensures little play between the parts, but breaks very easily when the support is removed from the slot, so it will most likely have to be welded or glued again afterwards.
The 3 mm slot is easier to remove from the support, but has more play between the segments.

As mentioned, all versions should be printed on their side to best match the spring force with the layer alignment.
