----------------------------------------------------------

This adjustable Microsoft Surface drawing stand is a complete re-design heavily influenced by @scarypug (https://www.printables.com/model/204092-adjustable-drawing-tablet-stand-modular)

Key Features:

  • 10° to 18° range of motion
  • Magnetized pen holder

I have re-designed the whole structure to accomodate my Microsoft Surface Pro 7, so that I can use it for drawing.  The main design/concept is the same as @scarypug's version, only with a few notable changes:

  • The front support is designed to cradle the tablet and sit below the front of it, so that nothing is in the way of your wrist when drawing.

  • The legs are designed with a lower starting angle (10°). The leg attachments to the front support has also been changed to accomodate the new front support design.

  • The rear angle supports have been changed to accommodate the lower starting angle of the legs.  This does limit the total range of motion (10° - 18° total), but does keep the style very slim and minimalist.

  • The rear leg support have been moved from the rear to the top.  This is both to accomodate the slimmer, lower angle design, and also to incorporate a magnetized cradle for a pen.

Parts:

  • @CNCKitchen heat-set inserts (https://cnckitchen.store/)
    • 2 @ M3x3
    • 10 @ M3x5.7
  • 14 @ M3 screws - various lengths
  • 2 @ 5mm x 1.5mm magnets
    • ** be careful - with my pen, the polarity of the glued in magnets matters and could repell your pen if installed incorrectly.

**  NOTES  **

  • I used a Logitech MX Keys keyboard.  It is very low-profile, and so can still fit under the lower starting angle legs at 10°.  Please check the clearance on your keyboard before printing.
  • This is for a Microsoft Surface Pro 7
  • I used an Ender 3-MAX to print this - a smaller print bed may not be able to accommodate - please check in your slicer.

Thanks, and I hope someone can make use of this!
