When I was a kid, bandages came in metal boxes.

Which was cool, because you could throw a small tube of Neosporin into the box and poof -- instant first aid kit.

At some point, the bandage companies switched to flimsy cardboard boxes, which were much less suitable.

One day, I went to my local drug store to buy more bandages and noticed that there were some bandages being sold in sturdy plastic containers! I bought two -- one for home and one for work.

It's a good thing I acted quickly -- these containers didn't last long in the store and I've never seen them again.

Recently, I misplaced the one that I use as a first aid kit at home. Having active children of my own now, a first aid kit is not something that I want to be without.

So, I reverse-engineered my remaining plastic bandage box and voila -- this thing!
