This Wall-mounted Magnetic Holder for Small Trash Bin uses 4 magnets and 2 holder parts to convert your small trash bin (or other object) into an easily removable wall-mounted version.

The total weight of the mounted object should not be more than about 400 grams (~14 ounces) - additional holders or another design should be used when heavier loads are anticipated!  I use this holder in my laundry room mainly for used dryer sheets and lint from the dryer's dust screen - saving many trips to the other room with the full-size trash can.

The "Wall" holder part attaches to a wall with screws.

The "Bin" holder attaches to a small trash bin (or other small object) with bolts and nuts.

The optional "Spacer" can be stacked (as many as you need) under any holder if you need more separation between the wall and the trash bin (for example, if the trash bin has a wide rim at the top).  Each "Spacer" provides 5mm (~3/16") of extra depth.

The "wallMountedTrashBinHolderSET-1c.3mf" file contains one "Wall" Holder and one "Bin" Holder; besides the four neodymium magnets, super glue, and the mounting hardware, this is all you normally need to print to make a Wall-mounted Magnetic Holder for Small Trash Bin.

Assembly:

1 - Insert two round 12mm x 3mm neodymium magnets into each holder's magnet slots with super glue - being sure that the magnetic poles in the "Wall" Holder are the same AND that the magnetic poles in the "Bin" Holder are both the opposite polarity of the "Wall" Holder to ensure that the magnets in the two holders will attract!

2 - Allow the super glue to dry completely before continuing

3 - Screw the "Wall" Holder into a wall with two sheetrock screws (or similar)

4 - Drill two 4mm (~5/32") holes in your trash bin - using the 3D printed "Bin" Holder as a guide for placement of the holes - making sure that the magnets on both holder parts are either side-by-side or one above the other (horizontal or vertical)

5 - Bolt the "Bin" Holder into your trash bin with two M4 x 8mm bolts and nuts (use longer or shorter bolts as needed for your trash bin)

Align the magnets of the "Bin" holder on your trash bin with the magnets on the "Wall" Holder to attach it to the wall.  Removing your trash bin to empty it is as simple as pulling the trash bin away from the wall to release the magnetic attachment.

Note that the "Wall" Holder and the "Bin" Holder are identical except for the mounting holes; feel free to mix and match them to suit your needs (for example, you can use a "Bin" Holder on the wall and another "Bin" Holder on your trash bin if the 4mm mounting holes would work better for you).

The provided STEP files can be printed in PETG or PLA (or pretty much any other material) and do not require supports.

PrusaSlicer 3MF files are provided for generic PETG.

G-code files have been provided for the Original Prusa MK4 using Input Shaper at 0.2mm layer height.

The Wall-mounted Magnetic Holders for Small Trash Bins seen in the photos were printed on an Original Prusa MK4 with Sunlu White PETG, Sunlu Gray PETG, and Prusament Carmine Red PETG using Input Shaper with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height with a 15% grid infill.
