After several weeks perfecting, over 20 variations, and a lot of time in Fusion 360 I am finally ready to unveil the keyboard switch or clicker replacement.
When I got a 3D printer I was excited to make a few fidgets that use clickers but was dumbfounded to find that the most people just bought a keyboard switch and put in the model. I felt like this was cheating almost.
There are a few others that does this but I found them to be unreliable so I have been making a more stable model.
This can be printed in PLA, I use a base Ender 3 so there most modern printers will print this even better then I did. You will need to make sure you at the very least .5 mm dimensional accuracy.
When you try to print or export this STL your slicer will probably say is there are overhangs, this is normal and accept the risk, I made sure that there is no greater then a 45% overhang so unless you have an issue will printing small overhangs you should have no issue.
The .gcode I uploaded is for an ender 3 and set for 85% extrusion rate for better accuracy for my printer, if you have your printer dialed in I suggest using the .stl and using your settings for your printer.
the profile of this is 19.50 mm, could not get this any shorter.
I hope people find this useful.
