If Freerunner was so cool, how come they never made a Freerunner 2?!
Well here it is. Now it's more aesthetically pleasing, shorter overall, with an all-new grip, and a shorter trigger pull for faster firing.
Still capable of using all the same motors and wheels as v1, Freerunner v2 can hit the same extremely wide FPS range from 75 up to 175, and can be changed between FPS targets with a simple cage swap.
Freerunner v1 had an issue where sometimes, you'd shoot a dart, and the next dart in the magazine would push upwards on the pusher while it was trying to retract, and it'd keep the pusher from going all the way back and turning off the motors. You could fix it by pushing the trigger forward a tiny bit with your finger, but it was annoying that it happened. Freerunner v2 reduces the rate of that happening dramatically. I don't want to guarantee that it'll never happen to you, but it doesn't happen to me with my build of it anymore.
The BOM is nearly identical to Freerunner, so updating will be as simple as reprinting everything except your cage. V2 is compatible with V1 cages (and vice versa). The cages have all been updated as well, so if you find that your wheels really should be sitting just a tiny bit lower than they can right now, you may also want to reprint that.
The one thing that the V2 BOM has that the V1 hardware did not include are two (2) more of the 3mm x 12mm metal pins that are used for the rollers and trigger/pusher pivots. These two new pins go into the body of the trigger and are used to keep the trigger aligned properly and sliding smoothly. If you want to upgrade without buying any more hardware, and you don't have two more of those pins just lying around, I've included a file to make printed pins. You can use these for the two pusher rollers, and use the pins that would've gone there for the trigger instead. I would heavily recommend against using printed pins for the trigger, though.
You're in luck. I've partnered with a few different folks to get this blaster into as many hands as possible.

The author remixed this model.
Body shortened, trigger pull shortened, grip remodeled, tendency for the trigger to “jam” when resetting between shots heavily reduced/eliminated. Slightly updated flywheel cages let the wheels sit a little lower for better alignment with the dart guide
