Loved the idea of the original cereal container desiccant dry box lid but the design had many sharp edges and such tight tolerances that I hurt myself trying to remove the sensor. So i redesigned it with higher tolerance and chamfered most of the hard edges to reduce the chance to scratching your thumb trying to pop the sensor out.
I printed this out of clear sunlu PLA with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height with 15% gyroid infill and they work great. No supports required.
The clip design is definitely not the best, and would have much preferred to see a tongue and slide but it worked pretty well for me, but you must break in the clips first by putting it on and off 1-3 times without any desiccant first, then it's relatively easy to replace without a ton of force. So i highly recommend breaking them in before first use. It also help to start with one side first then the other.
I'm not a fan of the original cereal lid design, but without STEP files modifying the design is going to be alot of work. If enough people show interest in seeing an improved lid design I may take a crack at it.
I've included the STEP file if anyone needs to adjust the tolerances for their hygrometer. Enjoy!
