Have you ever been in this situation - you want to pitch your non-free standing tent on you balcony, but, for some reason, your balcony is not covered in soil, so there is no way to stake the tent? No? Ok, that's completely normal, but on the off-chance that you have, here is a design that helps with that.

Here's how it works: you pull on the struts, insert the anchor in the slit between the planks, turn 90 degree, release the struts, and you're done.

Assembly is fairly straightforward: insert top plate into anchor, twist 90 degrees as soon as it is past the top part, let it fall to the bottom. Insert strut, twist. Repeat for second strut. See video below for details.

The anchors have been tested for one night so far, and they held up well. Granted, there was not much wind, however I did put a very decent amount of tension on them, with no problems whatsoever.

If installed correctly, struts work in compression, which makes setup surprisingly sturdy. One thing to look out for is that the guy line should be pulling in the same plane as struts, not at an angle, since the anchor doesn't resist twisting force well.

I printed the anchors in two-tone PETG with manual filament switch at layer 6, but that's for aesthetic reasons only, you do you.

Finally, to address the elephant in the room.

Yes, of course. 100%. There are easier way to solve the problem, but I had a lot of fun designing it, and I hope you have a lot of fun printing and using it!
