Description

PDF

I wanted to combine various parts I had into a useful device for creating sound effects. This uses two Arduino Nanos, three AD9883 signal generators, three rotary encodes, a 20x4 LCD display, and various other components to produce sounds out a speaker in the front.

The first Arduino Nano handles the rotary encoders and buttons, and sends simple data over serial to the second Arduino Nano. The second one handles the signal generators and display. The three signals are connected to a class-D amplifier and speaker. The unit is powered by an 18650 battery, with accompanying charge controller with USB Micro input.

I will provide a detailed parts list and design documents later. The software is under development, and a less portable bench version is being developed as well.
