This is a remix of The Vega4x5 (https://www.printables.com/model/236655-vega-4x5-view-camera). You cannot realise this project without the majority of the part from the original model.

It use CNC parts, dovetail groove and SGR linear guide to make the camera more stable and easier to focusing.

Focusing screen to lens board distance less than 90mm, easier to use wide-angle lens.

Modification

  1. Use aluminum instead of plastic forks, as heavier lenses and rear groups make the camera prone to shaking
  2. Use SGR-10 linear guide instad of aluminum extrusion, reduced focusing resistance.
  3. Add dovetail groove with rack and pinion for fine focusing.
  4. Adding an anti-rotation pin to the tripod connector
  5. Adding a ¼ mount in front standard

Manufacture

  • Four aluminium fork parts were made by CNC.
  • Front slider adapter and tripod mount need heat insert, so make them by 3D printer.
  • Rear slider adapter and dovetail groove adapter can made by both.
  • Do NOT use SLA, It‘s very hard to heat inserting
  • If you  make dovetail groove adapter by CNC. It should be TAPPED M2 SCREM THREAD,  the model have not entity screw thread!
