This is a Z Cap for the RatRig V-Minion that utilizes a F688ZZ bearing to keep the Z lead screw straight during a print.
I picked up a used V-Minion that had a Z lead screw that would not stay straight. Aiming to avoid any artifacting from that, I threw together a mod that allows us to keep the Z lead screw from moving about too much in the X/Y axes.
This has so far been printed in ASA on a Bambu Lab X1C. Print settings are not far off from the standard 0.20mm layer height profile, with a change made to the Walls Printing Order to “Inner/Outer/Inner” in an attempt to keep tolerances reasonable. Putting the bearing in is TIGHT and requires a bit of force. I may do some testing with a slightly larger cutout for the bearing, however this one gets the job done for now.
I used these bearings off of Amazon: https://a.co/d/hZWN1AF
