This filament runout sensor is designed to provide reliable detection of filament depletion during 3D printing. Featuring a micro limit switch, the sensor quickly identifies when the filament has run out, preventing print failures and material wastage. The design is simple and intuitive, ensuring an easy assembly process with minimal effort. 

The sensor comes with a mounting holder, allowing it to be optionally installed vertically on a printer enclosure, such as an IKEA Lack table. Its compact and efficient construction makes it an ideal addition to any 3D printing setup, offering peace of mind by automatically pausing prints when filament is no longer available.

The sensor can be connected either directly to the printer's mainboard or through OctoPrint. There are several useful plugins available to integrate the sensor with OctoPrint:
