3D-Printed Hard Drive Tray for ioSafe NAS (tested with 218 model)

This custom 3D-printed hard drive tray is designed specifically for the ioSafe 218 fireproof NAS. After purchasing a used unit without drive trays, I found that no existing model was available, so I created this to ensure a proper fit. This tray aligns with the standard mounting holes of a 3.5" hard drive and secures it within the NAS enclosure, maintaining the intended fireproof seal.

The design should also be compatible with other ioSafe models that use a similar 2-bay drive system, based on my observations. The tray is engineered with tight tolerances, ensuring a snug and secure fit while minimizing unnecessary gaps that could compromise the enclosure’s protective properties.

For optimal results, it is recommended to print the model vertically. Due to the precise fit, low-profile hard drive screws should be used to prevent any interference when sliding the tray into place.
