So one of my favorite places to go to is Micro Center. If you have never been to one of their stores, they sell computers/laptops and electronics, but they also have a large 3D printing section in the store and they carry 3D printers, tools and accessories, and filaments. Micro Center has their own brand of filament called Inland filament. I purchased a roll of Inland Blue PLA which inspired me to design this miniature model set so I could use their filament.

I looked around the web for a unique Micro Center location and found the store in Miami, FL. The store had some really cool design elements like the blue facade, black awning, and large logo signage. Their logo is easily recognizable and the blue color just makes the store really pop.

For the 3D printed model set, you will need an A1 or larger build volume to build some of the parts.

  • The windows and doors are super glued in place. I used hot glue for the lights, awning, and signage. The awning has 4 posts on the top which I used a touch of hot glue on one side to attach it to the awning itself. The posts are more for aesthetic and don't really hold up the awning as the awning slides into the building body.
  • AMS/AMS Lite needed for the signage and parking base.
  • The documents section will have an assembly guide PDF.
  • Setup your scene with your favorite Hot Wheels/diecast cars!
