Originally, this design was meant to be printed standing, no supports required. However, one of the remixers found that this print orientation made the mount body too weak. While the mount never failed in my testing, I only put around 10 (relatively warm) days on the slope with it. To be safe, I recommend that you don't fully extend the selfie stick, and/or check out this reinforced remix.

OVERVIEW

I made this to clamp an Insta360 selfie stick to my ski pole at a ~15 degree angle - like the official mount sold by Insta360. The selfie stick is clamped to the mount using a drill collet mechanism, while the mount is clamped to the ski pole using screws. You will need four M5x10mm screws and four M5 threaded inserts (6mm length) to build this. Currently, the mount is designed for a 13mm diameter ski pole, but I have included the CAD file so people can modify it as necessary.

Skied a few days with it and it held up well - however it froze shut on me once when the weather was hovering around freezing.

PRINTING/ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

No supports required. Print in tough plastic. Add heated inserts into mount body. Stick the collet into the mount body and twist the cover on over it.
