This desiccant container fits inside the Creality Space Pi Plus (double-spool) filament dryer. It is designed for standard 3-5mm silica beads, but it can also be filled with silica desiccant packets. If you are looking for a single-spool version for the Creality Space Pi, please see my other model (Desiccant Box for Creality Space Pi Filament Dryer).
Design Features:
- No supports required
- Fast printing
- Easy access to the top filament ports (for those of us who have big fingers).
- Snap-on lid with notches on the back edge to facilitate removing the lid.
Parts Required:
Printing Notes:
- Print with 0.2mm layer height, 2 perimeters, 15% infill.
- Supports are not required for any of the parts.
- Use a material that can withstand higher temperatures such as ABS or PC (I used PC-CF). PLA is not adequate for the temperatures inside the dryer box. PETG will work if you only plan to use the dryer to dry PLA.
- The lid is designed have a snug fit. If you have difficulty holding tolerances, try slowing down the print using the structural setting rather than the speed setting.
- Please DO NOT use the .bgcode file that has been provided (always slice your own files for your specific printer, filament, nozzle, environment, etc.). The file uses customized profiles, and was only included to provide a reference for approximate print time.
