Prusa XL Exhaust Capture System

This assembly replaces the outer HEPA filter housing on the Prusa XL Enclosure adding:

1. Quick Access to HEPA Filter for Maintenance purposes
2. Removable connection to 2.5" exhaust duct 

Both parts are magnetically connected to the main Housing to provide for easy maintenance and printer relocation.

The Exhaust Capture System consists of 3 parts:

1. Housing - Replaces the metal housing that was part of the Pruse Original XL Enclosure.
2. Filter Access Plate - Provides access to HEPA filter without need to remove Housing.
3. Hose Adapter - Transitions 30x60mm fan output to 2 ½" Round port that can accept a 2 ½" Vapor Collection Hose.

The Vapor Collection Hose is not part of this Model, rather is it part of a vapor collection system that extracts 3D printer fumes from printers and exhausts them outside the building.  The Vapor Collection System uses a small axial fan that provides a slight vacuum at the hose end.  This assists the XL exhaust fan in removing gasses from the XL Enclosure.

Build

1. Print the three parts
2. Remove the Metal Cover from the Fan/HEPA filter assemble on the back of the printer.
3. Install 10mm Round Magnets in the recessed holes minding magnet polarity.  Be consistent. Use one polarity for the Housing and the opposite polarity for the Filter Access plate and Hose Adapter.  The hole size is meant to capture the magnet without the need for glue.  Use plyers to set the magnets.  The face of the magnets should be flush with the part face they are installed in.
   
   If your printer is under extruding it may be necessary to place a small amount of glue in the magnet holes before inserting the magnets.
4. Invert the Fan if your exhaust system is overhead.
5. Install the Housing using 4 M4x10 Round Head screws using the existing mounting holes.
6. Install the HEPA Filter Access plate on the Housing.  The magnets should align the plate and hold it in place until a filter replacement is needed.
7. Insert the Hose Adapter into the appropriate exhaust hose
8. Place the Hose Adapter over the Fan exhaust port.  The magnets should align the adapter and hold it in place until it needs to be removed.
