After my 500W spindle used in the original project burned out after only a couple of hours of usage I decided to change it to a standard CNC spindle with VFD. I needed a larger z-carriage as the new spindle requires a 65mm mounting bracket. I used a Vevor 0.8kW spindle which is much more quitter, runs totally cold, has higher RPM and cut's much more faster than the original 500W DC spindle.
You will need to glue the “X_endStopAdapter” to the X_carriage's front corner where it hits the limit switch on the X axis as the new Z_Carriage is a bit larger and prevents it to reach it's limit and it won't hit the limit switch before it collides with X_holder arm, you will lose +/- 10mm on the travel distance.
The author remixed this model.
A larger Z-Carriage to mount a standard VFD spindle with 65mm diameter.
