Introducing “The Lamprey”, a soda-bottle-cap-opening wrench!
Originally made as an accessibility aid for people with arthritis or other grip issues.
The design affords three hand positions - right up by the cap, in the middle of the handle, and out at the end of the handle.
All of the prototypes I've printed have been done in PLA, and so far none have broken, but your mileage may vary. PETG might be a better option for longevity, but the softer material may not “bite” into the cap as well as PLA.
*** Updates ***
Left-handed version has been uploaded! Even if you aren't left-handed, this might actually be the better version, as the “pull” action is typically more-natural and stronger than a “push” action.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
