This is a shaving brush stand/holder I designed for my shaving brush. It is meant to be placed at the edge of a sink so that, after use, the brush is able to hang dry, dripping onto the base and draining into the sink. It's simple, minimal, and works well.
This is designed to print out in THREE pieces without supports, NOT AS A UNIT. I printed in PTEG with a 20% gyroid infill on my Mk3s. PLA would work just as well. I have not tested out other print settings.
The entire thing friction fits together. The rod/stand is directional, so parts will only fit together one way. Make sure the small CB is facing backward, and then push the rod/stand firmly into the base. Then push the top on firmly. The top sits at a 10-degree angle so the brush doesn't sit out, don't try to force it to be straight. It's a snug fit, but should all go together and stay together.
The shaving brush shown in the photos, and the one this was designed for, is the: Proraso Professional Shaving Brush, which is approximately 36.5mm in diameter at its smallest. The prongs in the design are 37.5mm across. This can easily be upsized or downsized for any brush, using PrusaSlicer's measuring tool and the “Set to scale” option.
Thanks for checking the model out!! It's the first I've published and one of the first I've ever designed and modeled. I appreciate you!
