Ahoy there, matey! Welcome aboard the most pi-rate ship on the seven seas, where the crew isn’t just any ol’ band of swashbucklers – they’re numbers! That’s right, these buccaneers are made up entirely of the math symbol π (that’s pi, for all you landlubbers).
This is no ordinary pirate ship. It’s a 3D-printed masterpiece, designed to sail through the oceans of mathematics and beyond, with a hull made from equations, cannons loaded with calculus, and a line of sight to infinity! Every member of the crew? They’re all pi-rates! When it’s time for a skirmish, you’ll hear cries of “Arrr, me pirates! Ready yer integral cannons!” as they prepare to launch π-projectiles that curve with precision.
As the captain steers this ship through a sea of formulas, the pi-rates perform intricate calculations to navigate through chaos, using π to plot the perfect course. Forget walking the plank; if you fail to respect the pi-rate code, you’ll be thrown into the abyss of irrational numbers!
The ship’s treasure? Well, it’s not gold doubloons, but the elusive treasure of perfect circles – every pi-rate knows the true wealth lies in finding the most perfect, symmetrical, 3-dimensional shapes. They might even argue, "To find pirate's treasure, one must know the radius of the heart."
So if you happen upon this strange ship floating in a sea of algorithms, just remember—there’s no pi-rate like a math-loving pi-rate!
The physical model shown is 3D-printed using Matterhackers Silky Copper PLA with painted organic supports shown in the .3mf file. The 3D-printer is a Prusa MK4S with 0.15 mm Speed setting and 15% infill with a smooth plate. The design and renders are generated using Autodesk Fusion 360.
Enjoy!

The author remixed this model.
This is a remix for the contest Benchy Remix. Added the math symbol Pi as the π-rate crew members. Also added a plank, two canons, and a π-rate flag!
