3D model description
Truly a dragon unlike others, I'm pleased to present the most ambitious Dragon to 3D printing
2 variants available - with or without whiskers
Huge high flexi dragon - over half a metre long, fully articulated - every individual scale flexes freely, even on each arm!
Large project that costs less then 1kg of filament & all you need to make is a small amount of super glue & 10 - 15 minutes to build
This is a 1 of a kind dragon but I will be releasing more shortly
Comes with 2 heads to choose from & fully painted & optimised Bambu Studio 3mf along with all necessary STL files
Also printed at 80% scale and still works perfectly
Full scale print time is approximately 3 days in full color, it's the largest dragon ever!
3D printing settings
Requires supports for the heads only -no support on anywhere except the head
requires no brim
0.26 layer height recommended but not essential
0.42mm walls x2 ( 3 for weaker filament)
Regular PLA is recommended
Gyroid infill
Z-hop enabled in your slicer to minimise failure and is advised for build plates with lower adhesion
Settings are all else standard
Simple to build following these steps (see pictures for reference guide)
Carefully remove from the build plate by flexing the build plate and using a scrapper - avoid pulling off the build plate
Connector STL 1 x10 - these connect the 3 long body segments, simply apply glue carefully into their slots and then connect the second body side into these newly glued slots (see pictures for orientation)
Connector 2 is non essential but can be printed to help align the fins if you require but it's your choice
Once you have glued one full side together it is recommended to glue the opposite side 1 segment at a time while gluing each opposite fin onto one another
I recommend gluing one fin at a time to align the body easier - glue activator can be used to instantaneously glue the opposing pieces
Once the entire full body is glued simply click the arms and head into their sockets & you now have your enormous dragon!
Any questions and I'll assist as best as possible - happy printing!
