There are lots of different statues of St. Francis of Assisi, but this is one of my favorites because of the bird in his hand and the bird on his shoulder. :)

See also Version 2.

I created this model by scanning a cement statue from my mom's yard. She's had it for decades, so I have no idea where it originally came from.

I used Trnio for iOS (in ARKit mode) to create the rough model, then cleaned it up in Blender, exported it as an STL, and sliced it in PrusaSlicer.

No rafts or supports needed.

Makes a great little gift for folks who need every bit of help they can get to keep their plants alive. ;)

Notes:

  • While this doesn't require any supports, if you scale it up to print a larger version, you will notice a bit of a “Shaggy” goatee, which I usually leave alone, or perhaps trim slightly.
  • The “Movie Theater Butter” (Overture “Gold” in PETG) is nice, but my favorite color and filament for printing this is Overture “Rock” in PETG.
